Inside Out

Have you ever seen Inside Out? If you haven`t you NEED to watch it. Its an amazing movie about a young girl moving to a new place and the emotions inside her head: Fear, Anger, Disgust, and the two main emotions of the movie, Joy and Sadness.

The movie starts out with Riley having an amazing life in Minnesota. Her life was great! She had lots of friends and played hockey. Then one day she moves to San francisco and everything gets turned upside down. Her house is terrible, the moving truck wont come for about a week and she has to go to a whole new school. She thinks the day at school is going to be great until the teacher calls on her to explain some things about her. Then up in head quarters sadness starts touching things and Riley cries! AT SCHOOL! Then sadness touches a core memory and it turns blue! Joy tries to fix it but nothing works! Then her and Sadness get sucked up to long term memory and cant get back. So they find Riley`s old imaginary friend and get his help back to head quarters. Meanwhile Fear, Anger and Disgust start changing Riley. Her islands of personality fall and she runs away. Then just in time Sadness and Joy get back and fix everything! Then all is well again with Riley.

My feelings during the movie were: Sadness for Riley, Sadness that Bing-Bong died, Joy that Sadness and Joy got back and Anger that Riley changed. I thing we watched this movie to show us just how much our emotions control us. One of my that I had well watching this movie was that it was really good! This movie relates to me because Riley is an eleven year old girl and I am an eleven year old girl too. The movie made me remember when I watched it with my cousins. The movie should have discussed why when sadness touches a memory it changes but when anyone else touches a memory it stays the same. Those are some things about the movie Inside Out!

Kindness

To me kindness means to share with others, be friendly and to help others. It also means to respect others and to be respected, treating others how you would like to be treated. Kindness means saying sorry to others when you hurt them or their feelings. Kindness also means showing your friends you care when they are hurt and helping them back up when they fall. You show kindness because it makes people happy when you show you care. Also you should show kindness because people do not want unkind people as there friends. It also brightens every ones day when your kind. If everyone on earth were kindness there would be no wars and everyone would always be happy. Kindness is a great thing to show.

Mady is a very happy and fun loving girl with lots of friends. Well she was like that until the new girl came to school. Her name was Emily. One day Mady decided to try and become friends with Emily, so she walked up to Emily and started a conversation. But Emily wasn't what Mady thought she was going to be, Emily was rude! The next day Mady went to school and nobody would talk to her! She could tell people were talking about her behind her back and she didn't feel to good about it. She then tried to talk to her best friend and even she wouldn't say anything! So Mady went to talk to Emily and she what she would say. Before Mady even talked to Emily she could tell that she was behind everything! For the next few days Mady hasn't been going to school. This is because she has a bad feeling in her stomach that everyone at school be mean again. Madys mom asked Mady is she was okay and Mady couldn't take it any more, so she told her mom. Her mom understood everything and told Mady that if people are mean to you just ignore them and show that you don't care. Because eventually the bullies will get board and stop. After the next few weeks of doing what her mom told her to do more and more people have started to talk to Mady again. This is an example of bullying and how to solve it.

My Limbic System

Once upon a time in a not so far away land, there was a girl named Eunice. She was walking home from school through the deep dark woods and something bad happened. As she was walking she saw a big bad bear. The bear growled at her. Eunice`s brain started thinking. Her amygdala started thinking, She did the fight, freeze flight response. She did the flight response and ran. But as she was running she fell on a log and smacked her head on the ground. Later some joggers found her and took her to the hospital. At the hospital the doctors found out she fractured her hippocampus. This means that she may not be able to remember anything! Her hippocampus controls and stores all the memories. It also controls your thoughts and transfers them to your prefrontal cortex. Your prefrontal cortex does your decision making. It matures at the age of 18. When Eunice woke up her amygdala made her scared. That's because the amygdala also controls your emotions. So anyways, after the doctors told her everything she found out she only lost a little of her memory. Just the moments when she was in the deep dark woods. So after that Eunice lived happily ever after. The End!
